Lambeth's Citizens' Assembly on the Climate Crisis

From 25 May - 3 July, 50 Lambeth residents selected to reflect the population will learn about the climate crisis and hear solutions from experts and local communities.

They will discuss what they have heard and develop a set of recommendations for how Lambeth will tackle the climate crisis. The Assembly is facilitated by independent organisation, Traverse, who are running six weeks of online workshops, speaker sessions and additional activities.

The project has just completed Phase 2 and will be moving to Phase 3 on Tuesday 29 June, this means there remains a small window to share your views via the Common Place Climate Action webpage - click here and select Phase 2 - Discover to view various video presentations, and to have your say - you have until the end of Monday 28 June.

Background:
"We are facing a climate emergency. How can we work together in Lambeth to address climate change and its causes fairly, effectively and quickly?
50 of Lambeth's residents will answer this question from 25 May - 3 July 2021. There are 3 phases:
Phase 1: Learning from climate experts
Phase 2: Discovering local solutions
Phase 3: Developing recommendations for a borough-wide climate action plan
We already captured your ideas from July - December 2020 and these will be presented to the assembly. Now you can follow along as the process unfolds...
We will upload presentations and educational content from the Assembly on the 'Participate' pages. You can submit your answers to the same questions assembly participants will be discussing. Your comments will then be shared with the assembly and used as evidence for the Climate Action Plan.
We want every resident to have their ideas heard and acted upon. So, please spread the word with your friends and family."
