Here’s some information about the ‘Before I Die…’ programme at the virtual Lambeth Country Show this weekend.
The Before I Die… virtual tent is brought to you by the Lambeth Advance Care Planning Consortium. It is a space to contemplate life and death and find out how you can record your future care wishes so that if you became very unwell – for example with Covid-19 – people would know what you would and wouldn’t want if you were unable to tell them.
They’ll be explaining how you can make an advance care plan for free without using solicitors, and offering some help to get started – either during the Show or through our new one-to-one support service (more info on that in the programme link below).
The weekend programme includes:
- a virtual Before I Die… wall – you may have seen the real thing at previous Shows
- zoom information sessions (including one for unpaid informal carers, another in Portuguese and an introduction to how to make a Lasting Power Attorney)
- one-to-one telephone sessions with some of the team for people to ask questions and get help with starting their own plan.
Go to the Discovery section of the Show website. While the listing on the Show site is being created, a full preview of the Before I Die… programme is available on the Healthwatch website here.
