Covid-19: vaccines and volunteers needed

Vaccine booster roll-out – now including 16+

People aged 16+ can now use the NHS walk-in services to have their life-saving Covid booster jab three months after their second dose as the NHS vaccine programme is expanded. Local vaccination centres are inviting 16 and 17 year-olds to make their appointments, and from next week, the National Booking Service will also open for this group, with appointments available to book a month in advance of vaccination. This latest development comes as Lambeth and London continue to see a significant number of cases of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus.

In Lambeth appointments and walk-ins are available across 20+ sites including pharmacies, hospitals and our local vaccination centres. Community pharmacies are spread across Lambeth and provide convenient access, with 12 of them offering walk-in services.

Walk-in vaccinations continue to be offered at the large vaccination centre at Montgomery Hall, Kennington, at Lambeth Civic Centre, Streatham Place Surgery and on the Lambeth Health and Wellbeing Bus. Full details, including opening hours, are available on NHS South East London CCG’s website and on the national NHS ‘Grab-A-Jab’ website and across our social channels throughout the week.

Community Pharmacy Vaccine Marshals Needed!

Community Pharmacies across Lambeth are providing crucial vaccination and booster access.  They are looking for the support of Vaccination Marshals who are an essential part of this activity, helping to ensure the safe flow of people being vaccinated, from the time they arrive to the time they leave, checking temperatures, preparing them for the vaccination, and making sure that patients leave safely with their vaccination cards.

Shifts will be morning and afternoon every day, including weekends. PPE will be provided. Social distancing will be managed. Why not sign up for a shift at your local pharmacy or clinic?
