Lambeth Council has undertaken a review of the existing on-street waiting, loading and parking arrangements in West Norwood town centre: parts of Norwood Road, Knights Hill, Norwood High Street and the adjacent side roads to the north of West Norwood Station. Along with Station to Station we were able to input to the proposals, due to our continued work to complete the loose ends of the Streetworks project.

The changes will standardise and consolidate parking arrangements and include proposed additional loading facilities necessary to assist local businesses and ensure that on-street restrictions can be effectively enforced.

The statutory consultation is currently underway and comments can be submitted up to 19 January 2022.

The total parking provided as ‘free’ limited stay bays once these revisions are in place will be (approximately, as some bays are not marked individually):

• 30 minutes maximum stay: 29 vehicles
• 1 hour maximum stay: 54 vehicles
