eCargo Bike Grant Fund

Local businesses are eligible for a governemnt grant towards the cost of a new e-cargo bike. These bikes can help to make our roads safer, and will make businesses greener, cleaner and more sustainable as well. The eCargo Bike Grant Fund 2021/22 administered by the Energy Saving Trust is now open for applications.

£400,000 has been made available by the Department for Transport in 2021/22 for the purchase of ecargo bikes, to support businesses switching to a sustainable transport solution. Funding covers up to 40% of the total cost of an ecargo bike, up to a maximum of £2,500 for two-wheel models and £4,500 for three-wheel models.

Applications will be capped at five bikes per organisation. Larger applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applications may include more than one organisation. Read more here on the Enegy Saving Trust website, including access to an information pack, eligibility criteria and how to apply.
