The SLBI continues its summer of activities with a host of talks, visits, workshops etc.:
Weeds at Rosendale Allotments - we celebrate National Allotments Week doing a joint walk with the London Natural History Society around these popular allotments in Herne Hill (Sat 17 August).
Goosefoot, Dock & Willow (Sun 18 August) - the last in our series of workshops on Common British & Irish Plant Families led by Mark Spencer (though you'll be pleased to hear I've just signed him up for some more workshops next year).
Tree Walk - Streatham Park Estate - a walk with Roy Vickery looking at trees in Streatham (Wed 21 August, 2.30pm).
Open Garden Evening with Eco-Poets - a special visit from our local Eco-Poets will enhance our final open garden evening of the summer - come and listen to poetry & music, with drinks and nibbles (Thurs 22 August).
Tooting Common Plant Gall Survey - led by Tommy Root, Plant-gall Recorder for the London Natural History Society (Sat 24 August).
NEW! Magic Mushroom Mondays! Our popular fungi ID nights return on Monday 2 September until around the end of November. Drop in with your fungi finds or see what others have brought (5-8pm).
Moth Evening & Morning - hear all about moths from Alessandro Giusti, the Natural History Museum's Curator of Lepidoptera, and help set a trap to investigate the next morning (Fri 6 & Sat 7 Sept).
