This brilliant course is designed to be hands-on and beginner-friendly. It covers the essentials of photography, led by expert tutors and it takes place at Photofusion, in the heart of Brixton. Cameras will be provided, or you can take your own. NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY; you are supported to learn from scratch.
Course runs: Tuesday 26 May to Wednesday 8 July 2026 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 10am - 2:40pm. No classes 16 and 17 June 2026
Location: All sessions take place at Photofusion, 2 Beehive Place, Brixton - just 2 minutes from Brixton Tube Station.
To be eligible for a funded place, you must be:
- Lambeth resident
- 19+ years old (must have turned 19 before August 2025)
- Unemployed or earning below London Living Wage
- Not in Education or an apprenticeship
Course Content:
- Digital Camera techniques
- Smartphone photography
- Studio lighting setups
- Analogue photography (film camera), including film processing and darkroom printing
- Digital post-production editing
