Norwood Forum and Norwood Action Group response to meeting with Aldi

Aldi have advised us they are bringing forward early proposals for a new Aldi store and creative industrial space at the long vacant site at the corner of Knights Hill and Chapel Road (next to Yellow Box).

Aldi say this is an opportunity to see a long-term vacant site regenerated, and represents a multi-million pound investment in West Norwood to provide a new high-quality discount food store and flexible creative industrial workspace for small and medium sized businesses. A car park with 43 parking spaces and electric charging points is included.

Aldi have engaged consultants to meet local groups to explain their proposals in more detail, and are holding a public exhibition so everyone can learn more:

Thursday 21 July 2022 4pm-7pm
Saturday 23 July 10:30am-1:30pm

Trinity Baptist Church, 2 Thornlaw Road, West Norwood, London, SE27 0SA

See project website here for more info..

Comments on the proposal are welcome from 21 July to 6 August 2022.
