The independent Local Government Boundary Commission for England is asking for residents’ help to create a new pattern of electoral wards in Lambeth.
Lambeth is currently divided into 21 wards, and our local wards are Gipsy Hill, Knight's Hill and Thurlow Park (see maps for these wards here). Each one is represented on the council by three councillors who are elected every four years to represent the best interests of the residents in their ward. The commission is reviewing the wards to make sure each one has roughly the same number of voters.
You can find out more about what this means and ask questions at a special online briefing by the Commission on Monday 13 July 2020 at 6pm. To join the meeting follow this link at the time: https://bit.ly/31iZmVP
If you are watching from a laptop you will be able to watch online without any download, if watching on a different device you will need to download the Microsoft Teams app.
The consultation launches on 14 July. Read more about the commission and the online briefing on the Lambeth website.
