Our Picturehouse cinema will close temporarily from this week as the Cineworld Group has decided to close and mothball all of its 127 Cineworld and Picturehouse theatres in the UK with Thursday 8 October 2020 as the last day of opening.
The hope and expectation is for a return in the spring, once film studios are able to bring their major film releases back to the big screen, but the future of the Cineworld Cinema group is reported to be uncertain. The usual wide range of films available this week until Thursday night include Tenet, Les Miserables and Memories of Murder; see show times here.
Lambeth Council has confirmed that the operation of the Library will not be adversely affected by the cinema closure. News and events are often posted here on Facebook. The Library opening hours remain:
Monday - Saturday: 11am-4pm
Sundays and Bank Holidays: closed
