Lambeth Local Elections 7 May 2026: make sure you’re ready to vote

This is your chance to have your say in how local services are run for the next four years. You can go to your polling station between 7am and 10pm to vote for your Ward Councillors to serve until May 2030.

Who can vote?
Everyone that's registered to vote in local government elections in Lambeth, including EU citizens.
Registered voters will have received a polling card by post.
You do not need to take your poll card to vote at your polling station, but it does help the process if you can bring it.
You need to have valid photo ID in order to vote. Some of the most common forms of ID are a passport, freedom pass, or driving licence, but there are many more.

Where do I vote?
Your poll card includes the address of your polling station.
Alternatively, visit  Where Do I Vote? - you just need your postcode.
You can ONLY vote at the polling station where you are registered.
If you have a postal vote and have not posted it, you can drop it off on election day at ANY Lambeth polling station. But you will need to complete an accompanying form at the polling station.
If you registered for a postal vote, you can ONLY vote using the ballot paper that was posted to you.

Who can I vote for?
To find the candidates in your ward, visit Who Can I Vote For? - you just need your postcode.
Norwood Forum hosted four public meetings: Gipsy Hill, Knights Hill, St. Martin’s  and West Dulwich wards. We hope you were able to attend and found it useful to quiz the candidates.

How do I vote?
You will be given one ballot paper, and can vote for either two or three councillors, depending on the size of your ward.
Please read the explanatory signs at the Polling Station, and wording on the ballot paper. Do ask the staff in the polling station if anything is unclear.

When will the results be announced?
Counting of the votes will start at 9am on Friday 8 May and the results will be posted on the Lambeth website from lunchtime.
