South London Theatre hopes to return to West Norwood in the spring of 2018. Hard hat tours of the Old Fire Station are to be organised shortly as the conversion works enter the final six months. Keep an eye on their website. Fundraising continues to bridge the remaining funding shortfall.
And then there’s the exciting news of the launching of a new Arts Festival for South London in the heart of West Norwood. SLT Fest will be a 9 day festival that will take place at the beginning of August 2018 and focus on the theme ‘heritage’. The festival will be held in and about the restored Old Fire Station which once reopened is set to be an important cultural centre for the local community and beyond.
In the meantime, its business…. and play as usual at South London Theatre as they continue to create fabulous and thought-provoking productions out of Stanley Hallsin South Norwood (12A South Norwood Hill SE25 9AB). The last four productions have sold out, so it really is important to buy your tickets in advance when you can. The current and forthcoming productions are:
