Due to the temporary closure of the Sydenham Hill to Penge railway tunnel for essential engineering works, both West Dulwich and Sydenham Hill railway stations will be closed for nine days from Saturday 23 July to Sunday 31 July.
Network Rail says that it will be delivering a £4.5 million investment to replace the tracks through the tunnel to help improve train service reliability. In total they will be replacing 3,970 metres of track, using engineering trains, road-rail vehicles and other heavy machinery to complete the work.
Travel information, including details about rail replacement buses or ticket acceptance on other train routes, will be made available on the Southeastern website as soon as possible.
