Kath Church is the Chair of the Friends of Streatham Cemetery. Originally the 1892 Streatham Burial Board cemetery and located in Wandsworth, the cemetery came into the ownership of Lambeth Council in 1965. Kath will give a brief review of the history and current concerns of the Friends, the history of the cemetery, wildlife in the cemetery, and points of special interest including notable burials, for example of war heroes and of local celebrities.

Where:  Chatsworth Baptist Church, Chatsworth Way (off Norwood Road), SE27 (enter by second door on right in Idmiston Road).

No formal charge, but donations of £1 per person (50p concessions) to help cover costs and aid conservation work are appreciated.
