Getting to know your Pavement Plants FREE - but essential to BOOK HERE - places limited to 10
Nature beneath our feet. Hundreds of plant species are thought to be growing on the pavements of London. These plants are often dismissed as “weeds”, yet they form a key part of our urban biodiversity.
The South London Botanical Institute will be leading this intriguing walk with nature writer and botanist Amanda Tuke. Founded in 1910 in Tulse Hill, the South London Botanical Institute has a beautiful botanical garden (see Thursdays 2 and 9 December below) and runs a wide range of courses, workshops, school visits, and events for all ages.
Meet: Outside St Lukes Church gardens at the junction of Norwood High Street and Knights Hill, SE27
