Crystal Palace Comedy

Some of the most talented comedians on the open mic circuit perform in the Upper Norwood library. This month’s funny people include:

Joe Bates has one ambition as a stand-up: to make people thaugh (think and laugh). Come along to find out if he succeeds! His writing has been featured on BBC Radio 4extra and 6music, he recently performed his first full run at the Edinburgh festival and he had a short comedy play about robots taking all our jobs performed at the Canal Cafe Theatre.

Kevin O’Connell is a small Irish man who tells jokes. Since moving to London in 2016 he has been making waves with his high energy performances and whimsical material. He has been a finalist in the Bath Comedy Festival New Act of the Year 2017 and the prestigious NATYs (New Act of the Year) 2018.

The living embodiment of Radio 4, Ben Lund-Conlon took up comedy thinking it might help him achieve his dream of one day reading the Shipping Forecast. Variable, veering South Westerly. Occasionally smooth. Fair. Good. Warnings of gales of laughter from Lundy.
