Celebrate 40 glorious years of jangly and noisy indipop with a one-off C86 Special, organised by Ian Watson and How Does It Feel To Be Loved.
Ian Watson is about to publish his debut novel The Tunnels, and attendees have the option to purchase this along with their C86 ticket. The novel is "loosely set in and around West Norwood, taking inspiration from everything from West Norwood Cemetery to the local B&Q". A "suburban science fantasy ghost story", the novel should appeal to fans of Douglas Adams, Kurt Vonnegut, Martin Millar and Robert Rankin. An extract can be read here, courtesy of The Londonist.
