Bird watching

Every day

To identify birds you can see from your window or whilst exercising, the RSPB has a handy identify a bird site with 408 species.  There’s a host of other information too in the Wildlife guides section.

Attract birds by installing a bird feeder. The London Wildlife Trust LWT) suggests buying bird food here (the LWT will receive 4.5% of sales; the LWT is facing a loss of £280,000 in expected income over the next six months).

Birdguides.com has pointers on enjoying wildlife from home: some self-isolation tips. This covers many things you can do from the comfort of your own home to remain connected to nature and wildlife from your own home and garden.

The London Bird Club Wiki records daily bird sitings – and you can log yours here. The London Natural History Society has information on London’s wildlife and learning resources.

Our very own Lev Parikian who has been running birding walks around West Norwood Cemetery has a terrific bird song project here.

And not forgetting the Radio 4 'Tweet of the Day'.
