Norwood Forum is calling on Network Rail and local representatives to urgently address accessibility issues at Tulse Hill Station, a key interchange in South London serving around 2 million passengers a year.
The problem
- No step-free access to any platform
- Large gaps between trains and platforms
- The station is difficult - or impossible - to use for many residents with mobility challenges, including disabled people, older adults, and parents with prams.
What we’re calling for
- Inclusion in the ‘Access for All’ programme, which funds step-free improvements at UK stations
- Raised platform sections to reduce the gap between train and platform
- A clear explanation of why the station has not been included in previous rounds of accessibility funding
