Help St Lukes host their homeless guests this winter

January to March 2025: one night per week
Every Winter, St Luke’s Church in West Norwood opens its doors to a small group of people who have no permanent place to live. They are invited to come into a warm room, eat a meal, stay the night and have breakfast in the morning.

This is part of a project run by Robes, who help people to find and keep their own home. The guests in all of the Robes’ shelters have been interviewed, prepared and confirmed as low risk. They are also being helped to locate permanent homes, training and jobs where possible.

They are currently recruiting for overnight hosts in their shelter at St Luke’s. Overnight hosts arrive at 6pm and host the guests until 8am the following morning, helping them to provide a welcoming and safe space for everyone where they feel comfortable and relaxed. Training will be provided for all overnight hosts and you’ll be working along side experienced volunteers. If this sounds like something you want to do please email stlukeswestnorwood@gmail.com

St Lukes will also be recruiting dinner teams and breakfast teams so also use the email above, if you’re interested in having more information on how to help.
