On Thursday 25 July, 5pm - 8pm the South London Botanical Institute will be holding an 'open house' and inviting people to explore its large Victorian house, and wonder around its stunning botanical garden.
From 5pm - 7pm urban-botanist Amanda Tuke will be sharing her research and discussing a new course she is developing for the SLBI on identifying wildflowers for absolute beginners. There will also be drop in activities including close up with seeds and the SLBI's herbarium collection. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
From 7pm – 8pm there will be a roundtable discussion 'Fertile Ground: Urban Land Work' with three land workers dreaming up projects in South London, discussing their practice and their work on public land.
