Spring is here and Open Orchard has a number of new greening projects coming up. Everyone is invited to turn up and get involved.
Herb Garden @ Bzz Garage
Turning a section of the garden on Rothschild Street into a community herb garden, with thanks to plant donations from Secret Garden in Crystal Palace. Come help prep and plant and mulch, with the option of a cafe visit afterwards!

Spring Bulb Walk
Come to admire the bulbs at Windsor Grove Orchard, and then grab a coffee afterwards to meet local people.

De-paved Beds on Norwood Road
Open Orchard Project will be taking over the maintenance of the de-paved beds along Norwood Road. The support of local volunteers is needed to help plant and look after them, helping to bring some vibrant nature to West Norwood high street.

Kwik Fit
Greening up the empty beds in the Kwik Fit car park. Filling these beds with pollinator-friendly plants will add towards the already green area around the bus garage, providing local insects and birds with more food and habitats, and adding towards green highways.
When: Join the regular volunteer day on Sundays at 10:00am - 12noon at Rothschild Street, or send an email to be informed of when work at Kwik Fit will be undertaken.
Remember, you can volunteer as often or as little as you want, and you don't need gardening experience.
