Mambista - The Latin, African & Jazz Dance Party with Ducato Piotrowski Trio (Gypsy Jazz) and DJ Gerry Lyseight  (ex-GLR/BBC London, Mambo Inn, Mango Landin’).

Ducato  Piotrowski was born in Poland to a Roma family. He started playing guitar at 10 when his father showed him a few chords, which inspired Ducato to watch what other guitarists did and learn from them. He is entirely self-taught and when he discovered, and fell in love with, the playing of Django Reinhardt it was a revelation, having a huge impact on his life.

Mambista events at Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses have become highlights of the summer, described as “magical” with very good reason. BPCG is a beautiful setting, the music - live and recorded - is ‘broader than Broadway’ and always top notch, the food - from Carey's Kitchen - is scrumptious and the events attract sell-out crowds ranging from toddlers to the ‘more mature’.
