Vaccinators and marshals urgently needed – training provided
Residents are urgently sought to assist with delivering vaccinations in the borough. Training will be provided in two parts - an online portion of a couple of hours to be completed before attending a whole day of training this Thursday (16 December) at Guys.
Anyone who is available should contact Ros Keeler, (NHS LAMBETH CCG) ros.keeler@nhs.net as soon as possible with the following information:
- Name
- Telephone number
- Email address
- DBS status
You will be contacted directly with instructions about the online requirements and where/when to attend for in-person training.
Also, Westbury's and Copes Pharmacies - both on Streatham High Road need marshalls. These community pharmacies are continuing to vaccinate Lambeth residents for Covid-19, now with the even more critical booster jabs as well as first and second shots.
They hope to cover three four-hour shifts every day, including weekends. Volunteers will help to ensure the safe flow of people being vaccinated, from the time they arrive to the time they leave - checking patients are on the appointment list, checking temperatures, preparing them for the vaccination room, and making sure that patients leave safely with their vaccination cards.
Shifts will be 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm and 4pm-8pm every day, including weekends. PPE will be provided. Social distancing will be managed.
