The annual street art fair in Josephine Avenue is going ‘virtual’ this year due to the impracticality of holding a socially distanced event.

It’s still a great opportunity to buy work direct from over one hundred exhibitors and an opportunity to discover a wealth of creative skills, including Painting, Printmaking, Photography, Mixed Media and Street Art. Exhibitors range from the novice to the established and with prices to match this really is an event for all art lovers, whatever your budget – and all from the comfort of your sofa.

Local artists Martin Grover and Julia McKenzie are amongst those involved. If you are an artist based around Norwood, please let us know, so we can highlight you too.

Helping the local community
As well as providing affordable and credible exhibition space for South London artists, the event also raises money for local good causes. Artists will be asked to donate 10% of their sales during the weekend to their charity partners who include this year, our very own SRA.

Southside Rehabilitation Association was set up to help re-establish work habits for those whose lives have been interrupted by mental illness. This includes accessing adult education, work placements and support to find a job. The training takes place in one of their three social enterprises: catering, cleaning, and print. Its not the same as the visceral pleasure you get from experiencing art up close and personal, but even online, art still has the power to fill your soul.
