Clear Community Web: summer 2021 digital skills programme
Welcome to our Summer 2021 Digital Skills program
We have been working behind to scenes to create a summer programme of events and classes to help develop your digital skills and awareness as well as helping us to get back out into the community.
We have a mixture of Digital Awareness Workshops and Technical support with our new partner Link Age Southwark and will happen both at the Tessa Jowell Health Centre in East Dulwich and the Blackfriars Settlement in Southwark.
For those near to Crystal Palace we return with two new sessions at the Upper Norwood Library on Fridays.
We will be restarting our Community Tech Support Drop Insfrom 6th July 10-12 for those want advice or a problem solved with their tech.
We are also starting a new class called Mobile Phone Boot Camp for those new to a smart phone. This will run every Friday in August 12-1.
We are also running some online Zoom training for those still wanting to brush up on their skills in an informal environment.
We've recently been working with Zetetick Housing; a charity providing supported housing for adults with learning disabilities, to install Alexa into some of their properties.
The pilot project, funded by Lambeth Council is part of their Smart Homes initiative and is exploring ways in which their tenants can also take advantage of digital technology.
Frontier Support have been fantastic in their work to facilitate this project and allow us to install the devices and start to provide support.
