Lambeth Council is collecting real Christmas trees for recycling for free; they can be put out for collection from 4 January 2021.

To get your real Christmas tree collected, leave it next to your bins, or if you live on an estate next to the bin areas or bulky waste collection areas, on your collection day. You must:

• not leave your tree in a pot
• remove any decorations, as these cannot be recycled.

Trees take up a lot of space on collection vehicles so only so many can be collected each day. If your tree is not collected, please take it back in and leave it next to your bins again on your next collection day.

Alternatively, trees can be taken to various locations for disposal, but not Streatham Common this year as that site is being used as a Covid-19 testing station.
