As cinemas, venues, museums etc all closed our Libraries remained open to provide their essential service to our community. However, in accordance with the Government’s announcements, all Libraries are now closed for the foreseeable future.
While the libraries are physically closed, there is still a wealth of online services available for library members, which are largely free. These include a wide range of e-books, e-audiobooks, e-magazines and e-comics, as well as a wide range of other resources including film streaming, Times Digital Archives, PressReader which provides access to free global newspapers and Newsbank, a large archive of local and regional UK newspapers. All library overdue fines and loan charges incurred during this period will be waived. Library users can find out more at www.lambeth.gov.uk/libraries. If you need help in connection with West Norwood Library, phone 020 7926 0750 or email libraries@lambeth.gov.uk.
