New Cemetery Regulations have been approved by Lambeth Council and these now apply at West Norwood Cemetery. 

The Council says the revised regulations have been fully updated, take account of changes within the industry since the original regulations were written, and aim to cover all potential issues which arise within the cemetery environment.

Importantly, the revised regulations reiterate the speed limit of 10mph and will allow people to enter the cemetery in a car, on a motorbike or on a bicycle. So responsible cycling is now permitted.  

The new regulations will be advertised in the Cemetery with signs summarising the main points and leaflets, and Bereavement Services will promote the changes after some discussion and engagement.
