Update: London remained in tier 3 for four days; see our story published Monday 21 December 2020 for the latest advice.
London was moved to Very High Covid-19 alert level: Tier 3 at 12:01am Wednesday 16 December 2020.
You can read the Government advice on what you can and cannot do now in our area here. There is also advice from the Mayor of London here, and this includes advice on the Christmas period 22-27 December 2020 - including: "When deciding how you want to spend Christmas you should remember that the more people that mix from different households, the more likely it is that you or someone else will catch or spread coronavirus. This puts yourself, your family, friends and communities at risk, undoing all of our efforts to bring down cases".
The Leader of Lambeth Council has written to all residents highlighting the now dangerous increase locally of Covid-19 infections; read the letter here.
