General Election: Thursday 12 December 2019 - how to vote

Opening times of polling stations: 7am-10pm - please don't miss out because you have left it to the last minute.

In person: you can only vote at the polling station you are registered at. Not sure where that is? Type in your postcode in this link: Where do I vote? and the correct address will come up. Please don't waste your precious time going to the wrong place.

ID: in England you do not need to bring any ID.

Address and name: just give this information, in this order, to the Polling Station staff.

Polling cards: you will have received this from the Council and possibly other letters and cards from various political parties. There is no need to bring any of these with you, though your polling card helps staff to find you more quickly on the Register of Voters as includes your registration number.

Who you can vote for: you can find all the options here: Dulwich and West Norwood Constituency, and to check if you live in this constituency see this map.

Other useful info:

Postal vote: if you requested a postal vote, it is now too late to post it back. Instead, Lambeth residents can complete and hand it in at any Lambeth polling station - it doesn't need to be your designated one, or at Lambeth Town Hall in Brixton until 5pm on election day. You must use the ballot paper that was posted to you. Your polling station cannot give you a new one as they cannot tell if you have already voted using the one that was posted to you.

Proxy vote: if you signed up for someone to vote on your behalf and now find that you could do it yourself, you can still vote in person (only at your designed polling station) but only if your proxy hasn't done so already.
