Following the public consultation exhibitions in December 2019 on the proposed development of the Windsor Grove site by Southwark Metals, Norwood Forum made representations on a number of issues. A few weeks ago we received a response from the consultants working on behalf of Southwark  Metals. Essentially, we were informed that further information on the most important issues of:

• the breakdown of the number of private vehicles and number of lorries expected to use the site, and
• what noise would be created by the recycling process

were being worked through and would be covered in the planning application currently under preparation (via the transport assessment and noise assessment respectively).

The proposals to de-pollute vehicles had however been dropped from the proposal.

The public meeting being organsied by Norwood Action Group has had to be cancelled becasue of the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
