The Norwood Society has created a unique website dedicated to history of streets in Upper Norwood, South Norwood and West Norwood and their residents. Discover the history of your house, your road, or one nearby, by visiting the site.   The research has been compiled by a group of dedicated volunteers over the past two years who have met regularly at Upper Norwood Library to share expertise focusing on different aspects of historical research.  Street histories exploring maps and landownership, how the street was built, architecture, residents, social history, memories and wars have been compiled by volunteers, as well as, spreadsheets transcribing census records and local street directories. 

The Norwood Society has also considered events, buildings and Notable Norwoodians in a wider context.  Everyone interested in sharing their memories or wishing to become involved in this kind of research is invited to contact the Norwood Society via the website as soon as possible.
