Rosemead Lates is a programme of evening events open to both the school and local community, hosted by Rosemead Prep School. Rosemead Lates aims to provide a forum where passionate speakers can communicate and engage with the local community.
Rosemead Lates welcomes local business woman, Gayle Cajee, whose topic is How To Save The Planet More or Less. Gayle has spoken at other local schools and will help parents support their children with their interest in the environment. She will discuss practical actions you can implement straight away at home.
Gayle is being joined for the talk by her 16 year old daughter, Zaqiya, who has launched a new initiative in secondary schools called SwopItUp - a clothes exchange for teenagers run by teenagers. Already in three local schools, Zaqiya is hoping to bring other schools onboard this year. Any teenagers who would be interested running the initiative in their own school should get in touch.
When: Thursday, 19 September 2019 7-8pm (with drinks from 6.45pm) with a book signing afterwards.
Where: Rosemead Preparatory School & Nursery, 70 Thurlow Park Road, London, SE21 8HZ
Tickets: free on Eventbrite or search Rosemead Lates online.
