News

Love Lambeth's story on 'Vital Budget Plans':

A large section of our community was affected by the recent Thames Water major burst pipe, plus the impact of existing planned maintenance. Now we have ongoing Gas works in Gipsy Hill which are also causing disruption. There's always something happening in our neighbourhood.

We last reported at the end of October 2024 on progress with the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) project at West Norwood Cemetery and on other issues. The NHLF project seeks to conserve the Cemetery’s magnificent landscape and built structures, as well as offer new experiences and facilities to increase community use. Following a meeting of the Strategic Partnership Board (SPB) on 28 January 2025 (see below), we can now provide an update on the project and other issues.

About StreetWorks

StreetWorks is a unique community-led project to improve Norwood and Tulse Hill.  The project is funded by Transport for London and supported by officers at Lambeth Council. The Norwood Forum, the Tulse Hill Forum, local councillors and community groups are working together with residents, businesses, schools and road users to design a better space, remove the one-way system at Tulse Hill and provide training and support for future local projects.
